4 Months!

4 months: 14lbs 9oz, 24.5 in, 50% in weight/height/head!

Mia loves...making spit bubbles, splashing in the tub 'til the water overflows, getting out of her swaddle and scratching her face, rolling over because she hates tummy time, carefully examining her hands and putting everything in her mouth, making all sorts of strange and unusual sounds, being naked, staring with a very serious face, and best of all...sleeping! :)

Praise the Lord for our happy, healthy girl!

Oregon Trip

We took our first plane trip with Mia back to see family in Oregon. She did a great job! Here's a few pics from the trip (not in order).

We spent our first night in Portland at my dad's condo in the Pearl District and met a bunch of old high school friends (Matt & Chels, Grant, Katie & Dan) for dinner at an awesome italian place, Piazza Italia, next door to the condo.

We also went to see Denny teach, which was hilarious. Denny is a great teacher and even taught me something, which is hard to do. The unintentional comedy from his "grade level" kids was through the roof.

A few examples...

- One girl asked Denny & I if we like hot chocolate, then added that sometimes her grandma makes extra.

-Trying to get the kids to recall from earlier in lecture & discuss lenin, denny is throwing out hints "same name as a famous singer..." some kid, totally disinterested but apparently awesome, responds with no enthusiasim "Bieber".

- The kids were all supposed to watch Animal Farm and then write on it - Denny asks if anyone remembers what it was about. Crickets. Then some kid goes "I remember a bunch of pigs." I'm trying not to crack up, but then another kid goes, "thanks a lot for ruining it!"

3 Months!

1st trip to the Zoo!
